Invasive drone
As women, we all know what it’s like to feel vulnerable. To be hyper-aware of strangers especially ones who act suspiciously.
I was up in our island cabin painting my heart out - just me and my cat and had a scary altercation with a man and his drone (ended up with the guy banging on my door yelling at me to open it and the police coming).
All ended well (Island County Sheriff was fabulous at deescalating the situation). But a day later I couldn’t paint, I kept bursting into tears perceiving every person who walked past or car that drove by to be a threat.
When the boys, after multiple ‘are you OK’ calls, heard my voice break, they got on the next ferry to surround me with love and protection. I can feel my creative mojo coming back!
