Poetry Challenge Day 21: Fold
Fold

 Snowflakes fall
 Filling arches in our entryway
 From Thanksgiving
 Through the end of winter

 Each year
 New ones appear
 Hanging from windows
 And doorways
 By thin ribbons and tape

 There are hundreds now
 Some more intricate
 Than others
 As we try new ways
 To fold and cut

 Remember when
 You made the 6-sided ones
 And mine fell apart
Because I cut the wrong side
You showed me how to do it right
 But I’ve forgotten

 When you come home
 Let’s make some more
 And create
 A snowstorm
 For Christmas
