She's Comfortable in Her Body
She’s comfortable in her body
Wrinkles, sags and bulges
just signs of a life well lived
She doesn’t regret all those glasses of wine with friends
and freshly baked bread out of the oven
slathered with herb-scented oil
She embraces long ago summers
spent laying on the beach
until laugh lines became etched by sunlight
She eats well, lives well
exercises when it’s fun
and doesn’t worry too much
about what others think anymore
Because she knows that her life
is being well lived
