Sowing The Seeds Of Spring
It's raining, it's pouring
and the gardens and forest are soaking up every last drop
I'm breathing in the smell of damp earth
listening to rain pouring into the downspout
and the birds calling to each other
while they gather tree moss to line their nests
I'll pull on raincoat and wellies at some point
to check on the little plants I've tucked into my garden
I can't wait for these April showers
to bring May flowers
