We Belong Together
Walking through the forest, we heard a cacophony of birds - crows swirling in the sky and dive bombing into the trees.
An owl of course. And not just one this time but three! Mom and Dad hovering near a younger one just getting a feel for his wings, holding his own against the onslaught of crows (who of course were trying to protect their young against the owls).
The owls perched on the limbs eyeing the crows, eyeing us, and then one after the other spread their immense wings and quietly glided deeper into the forest.
The crows quieted down, settled into the branches - pleased with themselves for driving away the predators.
And we walked on.
