Poetry Prompt - Letter
I’m participating in a poetry challenge #tinysummerpoem with British author Beth Kempton on Instagram. Rules: she suggests a prompt, then participants write without editing for 10 minutes. Want to join me? Here’s what I came up with for today's prompt:
#tinysummerpoem
Day 2/10 prompt:
Letter
Unsaid words
Too many of the wrong words
Baggage dredged
From the corners of our bruised hearts
Doors closed
Tears flow
We ran away
Broken hearted
And then a bouquet of roses
And hydrangeas
Which he knows are my favorite
The letter said
I love you
And I’m sorry
