I'm a Tree Lover

I have to admit - I am a tree lover.
We built our house around the trees on our property
And then planted more
I love their shade, the way the light filters through the leaves
I love the habitat they provide for birds, squirrels, bats
I love that our home is 10 degrees cooler than neighboring properties in the heat of the summer because of the shade
I love the way the leaves rustle and the branches sway in the breeze.
I love how their fallen leaves provide rich compost for our veggies the next spring.
I cry when trees and significant shrubs are cut down.

Developers next door don’t feel the same way I do
