Margin - Day 6 of the Tiny Autumn Poetry Challenge
Margin
You think you see me
My cover shiny
Colorful
Smooth
Daring you to
Devour my story
But when you lean in
You will see the scribbly bits
In the margins
The wrinkles and smudges
Where I drank too much coffee
And spilled
My soul
Onto the page
It’s too late now
You know
To slide me back onto the shelf
As if we’d never met
