Lost

I lost myself
For a while there
In the middle of our story

When you were writing the summary
And I was still trying to read the first page

Your dream of building our home
Was so seductive
I couldn’t wait to open the book

I didn’t know then
That the chapters would be so long
And I would get lost in them
