From my canvas to your home
My painting studio has taken over the sun-room in our little beach house on Whidbey Island, Washington. For a week or two each month, I retreat to the island, with just my cat as company, and paint as soon as natural light fills the sun-room. On warm days, I fling open the three walls of windows and am surrounded by fresh air and bird song.
I paint intuitively, layer upon layer of color, allowing the canvas to tell me where it wants to go. As the layers pile up, and the colors become deeper and richer and more complex, figures appear. Maybe women dancing under a moon, or an owl surrounded by colorful leaves. Sometimes, a serene landscape calls to me, or maybe it’s a comical cat.
All of my paintings are in acrylic on deep canvas with painted edges and are ready-to-hang with wire.
I hope the joy I poured into creating each piece of art, will fill your home with beauty and your heart with joy!
