Before we dive in to what it means to be a Bohemian Color Goddess, let me introduce myself:

I’m Beverly Ash Gilbert, an artist, author and teacher  whose work inspires and uplifts women around the world. Throughout my classes, books, and artwork, I honor the fact that we all see and experience color differently.

Have you ever felt an emotional response to color? Perhaps you don’t know why you react the way you do, but when you’re surrounded by colors you love, you feel uplifted, calm, drawn in to the work of art, or the room. But walk into a space filled with colors you don’t like, and you feel uncomfortable, edgy, tense, anxious to move away.

And the more I work with color, the more I realize it’s the combination of colors that draw us in, even more so than the individual colors themselves. I help women tap into the power of color harmony to transform their creative work and create personal spaces filled with colors that make them feel uplifted and joyful.

As a Bohemian Color Goddess, you’re eclectic, playful and creative – bursting with ideas and creative passion. You surround yourself with colorful inspiration and collect exotic materials, art and clothes full of deep, rich texture. Your home is a luscious extension of who you are and a magnet for all types of fun, interesting friends.

People are drawn to your high energy and enthusiasm but can mistake it for high confidence, when actually you’re deeply sensitive and easily shut down by perceived criticism. They might not realize how much you crave recognition and positive reinforcement. And, I get it - it’s easy to loose motivation when you don’t receive the recognition you deserve.

In fact, finishing projects can be a struggle, because you’re spontaneous, an enthusiastic creative but easily distracted (by other projects equally as stimulating!). This is both a blessing and a curse because though it can lead to some messiness and a stack of unfinished projects, it is also part of the colorful tapestry that makes you so fun to be around.

You love color and wish you had endless time (and resources) to play with all of the color combinations and ideas swirling in your head – but when it comes to your creative side, you are drawn in so many directions that it’s easy to become overwhelmed! I get it, because I’m the same way!

Bottom line: How can you pull all your colorful ideas together into gorgeous compositions that earn you accolades and not drive yourself crazy with indecision in the process?

The most important thing to remember is that you’re already a color expert – a Color Goddess! You know what you like and what you don’t like and this means that that your response to color is already very sophisticated and is beautifully different from anyone else’s. And I can help give you ideas and tools to make your compositions – whether they are home decor, paintings, outfits, fiber art, jewelry or even floral design – more enjoyable for you to experiment with, without being overwhelmed.

Because of course, it’s HOW you add the color, and WHAT other bits of color you use with it that makes your compositions so yummy. In fact, once you learn the magic sauce to color composition, you’ll feel confident using all of those gorgeous colors that you adore – and bonus: everyone else will love them too!
